Tom Pelissero is an NFL writer for USA TODAY Sports, where he covers the league with a national focus. He is also a part-time host on SiriusXM NFL Radio and 1500 ESPN Twin Cities. He has a weekly podcast, the TomCast, that’s distributed by 1500 ESPN and Podcast One.

In 2014, Tom had the first interview with Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson following Peterson’s suspension by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell over a child injury charge. That story was part of USA TODAY’s entry that won an Associated Press Sports Editors Top 10 award in the projects category for coverage of NFL domestic violence issues. Tom also has won Wisconsin Newspaper Association and Milwaukee Press Club awards.

Before joining USA TODAY in July 2013, Tom covered the Vikings for 1500 ESPN, where he was senior editor of and hosted six days a week. He previously worked for the Green Bay Press-Gazette, the Leader-Telegram in Eau Claire, Wis., and KFAN, where he began covering the NFL in 2003. He lives outside Minneapolis.
